Christine Clifford
Christine Clifford has been a clinical psychologist for over 30 years, graduating from the University of London with a PhD in 1983. Since that time she has maintained a balance between academic and clinical work. She has been involved in teaching and research in the School of Medicine at the University of Tasmania since 1989. She has also maintained a role at the Royal Hobart Hospital providing psychological care to cancer patients and their families. Christine has also been actively involved in the supervision of postgraduate Clinical Psychology students over many years, particularly in the area of Psycho-Oncology.
Christine Clifford has also maintained strong links with the Cancer Council of Tasmania and the Leukaemia Foundation. Her roles are advisory, as a member of the Clinical Advisory Group of the Cancer Support Centre and a Member of Scientific Advisory Committee. Christine is also involved with training in area of Incidental Support and the Detection of (clinical) Distress in cancer patients.
