Breast cancer is the commonest serious cancer in Australian women. Most breast cancer is invasive ductal or invasive lobular cancer or variations thereof. The behaviour of these cancers is well defined based on vast experience, and management algorithms for these cancers is based on randomised trials including thousands of patients. A small subset of breast cancer consists of rare subtypes and rare presentations where to natural history is less well defined and for which there is much less of an evidence base. This presentation will focus on these subtypes of breast cancer.
